Mr. Lannon received his J.D. from the University of Illinois College of Law in 1960 and his B.S. from the University of Illinois in 1956. He was admitted to the Illinois Bar in 1960. While at the University of Illinois, he was a member of Phi Delta Phi and the Order of the Coif. In 1960, Mr. Lannon joined George Herbolsheimer in practice in the LaSalle-Peru area. The first partnership was officially formed on January 1, 1963.
Mr. Lannon is a member of the LaSalle County Bar Association, having served as President from 1964 through 1966, the Illinois State and American Bar Associations. He is also a member of the Illinois Association of Defense Trial Counsel; Defense Research Institute; American Judicature Society and the Illinois Trial Lawyer’s Association. He has authored a portion of IICLE Text, Attorney’s Guide to Liability Insurance.
In 2011, Mr. Lannon accepted an appointment as a Circuit Judge in the Thirteenth Judicial Circuit. He served until December 2012. During that period, he presided over civil disputes of all types ranging from person injury suits, divorces, foreclosures, contract actions and partnership disputes, to name a few.
Mr. Lannon concentrates his practice to the areas of family law, personal injury, workers’ compensation and mediation. Mr. Lannon is a certified mediator through the State of Illinois.
